Gareth Johnson MP opens Hayden Youth Association Football Pitch
“After many years of planning and fund raising, Hayden Youth Association, in a joint initiative with local private investors, are delighted to announce the completion of their new astro turf training facility.” Said Derek Stewart one of the project co-ordinators who led the work.
Opened by Gareth Johnson MP on Saturday 5th November, this state of the art 3G floodlit pitch will provide all year round football to the 23 boys and girls football teams at Hayden Youth, as well as providing a fantastic facility for use by the local community.
Gareth said “I am pleased to have had the opportunity to open this new facility and know that it will be an asset to the local community. These excellent new facilities will no doubt encourage more young people to get involved with sport and to take part in the activities on offer at Hayden Youth Association.”
