FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Gareth Johnson MP for Dartford secures debate on Grammar Schools
Gareth Johnson, MP for Dartford, has secured a debate in Parliament next week on the issue of Grammar Schools. The debate will give any MP the opportunity to discuss Grammar schools in Parliament and their role in the education system.
Gareth who is a former Dartford Grammar School pupil, said
“I know what a first rate education grammar schools can offer to pupils from all backgrounds. They are an essential part of the education system in Kent and provide educational opportunities for thousands of children. I hope that the debate will provide an opportunity for the Government to continue to recognise the excellent educational value of grammar schools. It is vital that we help Grammar Schools to continue to flourish. They tend to be successful and popular schools and so it makes complete sense to support them as much as we can. I am pleased to have secured this debate and look forward to having the opportunity to raise this important issue in Parliament.”
