FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Gareth Johnson MP campaigns for a joined up approach from utility companies to avoid chaos on the roads

Gareth Johnson MP for Dartford has today raised the issue of road works in Parliament and the need for a joined up approach from utility companies to prevent unnecessary delays for motorists.
Gareth said:

“All too often a stretch of road can be dug up several times in matter of months causing inordinate delays to motorists. This can particularly be a problem during rush hour.  Utility companies need to liaise effectively with each other and co-ordinate their planned work so that disruption is kept to a minimum.”

Gareth raised the issue of road works in the House of Commons with the Roads Minister, Mike Penning MP on Thursday 19th April.
