
On Friday, 2nd July, Gareth Johnson was invited to visit the Ellenor Lions Hospice in Northfleet on the occasion of their 25th anniversary. The hospice serves the people of Dartford and Dartford.
Gareth met the chief executive, Carol Stone and director of nursing, Claire Candy. Ms Stone confirmed that the Government had recently committed £30m funding through the Primary Care Trusts which continues its commitment to improving the hospice movement.
Gareth said: “For those who need hospice care, we are indebted to the Ellenor Lions. In this area alone there are 800 volunteers which is amazing and we should all be grateful that there are these dedicated people at a difficult time for patients and their families.”
