Charity Cricket Match

Last June in partnership with Dartford Cricket Club I held a charity cricket game to commemorate the 90th Anniversary of the Royal British Legion. The event saw a team of local public figures including Civic Leaders, former England cricketers, representatives from Bluewater and Kent Police take on Dartford Cricket Club.

The event raised over £3000 for the British Legion and the day was a big success.  Several local businesses and organisations were kind enough to give their support including; Bluewater, Ladbrokes, Barclays and Orchard Mechanics.

This year we will be holding the event on the 1st July in aid of the Arrow Riding Centre for the Disabled in Darenth and Dartford Cricket Club who are looking to fund a new building at Hesketh Park.  Both of these are extremely worthy local causes and I hope that we will raise some much needed funds for the Centre and the Cricket Club.

The game will take place on Sunday 1st July this year at Hesketh Park and everyone is welcome to come along and watch.  Further information about the events going on will be posted on this page nearer the time.

In the meantime we are currently looking for sponsorship for the event from local businesses who would like to sponsor a player or advertise in our programme, which will be distributed on the day.  If you would like to get involved with this event please contact me on 020 7219 7047.
